NRSC Legal Intern

Location: Washington, DC

Department: Office of General Counsel

Type: Internship

Min. Experience: Student (College)

The NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) is recruiting law students and recent law school graduates to extern with the General Counsel in 2017.  Following a historic 2016 election cycle in which Republicans won control of the Senate Majority, the NRSC is seeking legal externs who are eager to help Republicans retain the Majority in 2018.

The General Counsel advises on all issues relating to campaign finance, election law, Senate Ethics, and other legal matters. Legal externs will work closely with the General Counsel and will assist with legal research and writing, attend meetings, and perform other tasks as needed. Candidates should be self-motivated and have a strong interest in election law.

Please specify which term you would like to intern (Summer or Fall) in your cover letter. All NRSC externships offered are full time and are unpaid. Externships for school credit may be accommodated.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. If there are any questions, please contact Austin Metsch, NRSC intern coordinator, at 202-675-6000 or interncoordinator@nrsc.org.
