The NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) is recruiting juniors and seniors in college and recent graduates who are interested in politics and campaigns to intern in the political department. Following an exciting and historic 2018 election cycle in which Republicans retained control of the Senate majority, the NRSC is seeking interns who are eager to contribute to the start of the 2020 election cycle and ultimately help Republicans retain a majority in the U.S. Senate.
The NRSC political interns work alongside the political department staff and assist in a variety of projects related to campaign strategy and keeping up to date on each of the senate races including current news and individual campaign statistics and data. Preferable applicants have campaign, Capitol Hill, and/or state office experience. Interns with strong work ethic, ability to take direction, and learn new skills quickly is essential.
While political interns work primarily with the political team, they will be exposed to other key components of the committee including finance and fundraising, events, digital media, messaging, and research. All interns fill in at the front desk on occasion and manage the front lobby, answer the mainline phone, sign in and assist appointments.
All NRSC internships offered are full time and are unpaid. Internships for school credit may be accommodated.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so please specify the internship term (spring or summer) in your cover letter.
